Cadets of the Palm Beach Division experienced a high intensity drill the weekend of January 13-15. Cadets participated in High COPE team building and self confidence exercises and learned how to complete roll offs from a speeding boat, also known as Swift Boat Training. A skill learned by SWCC (pronounced “swick”) Sailors in the U.S. Navy. SWCC is an anagram for Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman. The Special Operators that insert and extract U.S. Navy SEALs on their waterborne missions. High marks were given by all cadets that attended and great lessons were learned about trusting your shipmate as well as trusting yourself. See the videos and photos of the event. Learn more about the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps program on our website at PalmBeachSeaCadets.org. Open to all youth age 10-13 for Navy League Cadets and 14-17 for Naval Sea Cadets.
